The spiritual development of your student is taken seriously at ICS. We provide many opportunities for students to learn more about themselves and others in the context of being like-minded with Christ:
Our Christ-following faculty and staff build authentic relationships with students where they invest into each student individually.
The annual High School Spiritual Emphasis Retreat provides students the opportunity to participate in activities and studies that bond them together as a student body, as well as strengthen relationships with their peers and teachers.
Spiritual Emphasis Week provides special guest speakers to encourage the student body by presenting relevant topics with a bent towards spiritual development
Service projects are held throughout the year that give students the chance to give back to their communities and actively be the “hands and feet of Jesus”.
Field Studies trips to various locations (depending on grade-level and individual student needs) that combine all that students have learned and experienced throughout the year: attributes of the Christian life, service to others, learning, and personal growth.
Spiritual Emphasis Retreat
Over the years, we have found that this retreat is truly a special time that brings the high school together. Students spend two days away from the ICS campus, playing team building games, hearing from speakers, and worshiping God. Needless to say this retreat sets the tone for the school year. Although every high school student is expected to attend, they will NOT be disappointed! Come ready for games, worship, small groups, a giant swing, a rock climbing wall, a waterslide, a bonfire with s'mores, and tons of other activities! Our high school Student Council plans the event and we're really excited about what they put together.
Spiritual Emphasis Week
Every year ICS sets aside a week for students to reflect on their faith and to develop a closer walk with their Lord and Savior. A theme is chosen and focused upon as chapel speakers and small groups dive into the spiritual walks of each student.
