We will be ending the year with a Dance Recital that will encompass 1st-8th grade dance classes. Thursday team will have the opportunity to choreograph their own pieces and select their own Christian music. An application will be made available in January for dancers that are interested. This is optional and something they will do on their own, but I will be checking on their progress throughout the semester. They will also be performing a group piece.
Registering for ICS Dance is a commitment. Students must be at ALL rehearsals and performances. Please talk with your daughter to clarify the commitment she is making to the team. Rehearsals are not an option. In order for ICS Dance to be a success we need all team members present.
Our desire is to make this experience successful for everyone. Our focus is on JESUS!
Thank you for the privilege of sharing the love of dance and Jesus with your sweet girls.

Instructor: Mrs. JeQuita Lee
Mrs. Lee's Dance Background
Mrs. Lee graduated from the University of Utah in 1991 with a BFA in Modern Dance. Her first year of college she attended Utah State University with a dance scholarship to the modern dance department. She then transferred to the Modern Dance Department at the U of U. After graduating from the U of U, she started a group called Hands of Praise, a Sign Art Dance ministry, and led that ministry for 21 years at Risen Life Church. During that time, she and her group had opportunity to minister in Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah-Idaho, and Japan. The team traveled to various churches and venues such as the 2002 Winter Olympics to share the gospel through Sign Art. She also began a Children’s Dance Ministry in the Spring of 2007 at Risen Life Church.
Dance has always been an important part of Mrs. Lee's life. From the beginning tap, ballet and gymnastics classes (all crammed into an hour) to being a part of the drill team and dance companies of Hillcrest High School, God has used dance as an opportunity for Mrs. Lee to share her faith and worship Him. She is excited to see what God is going to do in the lives of the dancers at ICS as He shapes and molds us into who He wants us to be.
