What is Canvas?

Canvas is an LMS or Learning Management System that integrates with our school information system, FACTS (RenWeb). Canvas is used by our upper school (middle and high school) to organize classes and share class materials with students. It is used for grading and assigning work and all the grades and assignments are synced over to FACTS (RenWeb) once every evening. Log Into Canvas

Is Canvas taking the place of RenWeb?

No. Canvas works hand-in-hand with FACTS (RenWeb) to manage the classes and grades of our upper school classes.

Do I (parent) need to be on Canvas?

Not necessarily, but your email address in FACTS (RenWeb) is automatically synced over to Canvas and linked to your students. You are enrolled as an "observer" for your student in all his/her classes and can see his/her grades in those classes. To view that info and change your notification settings you will need to log in. I'm stuck. How do I get help with Canvas?
