Open Positions
Learning Lab Interventionist & After Care Coordinator
Intermountain Christian School is accepting applications for a full-time Learning Lab Interventionist / After Care Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. A full-time position with regular hours of 9:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m., beginning August 7, 2026, providing academic intervention and student support while coordinating the school's After Care program.
The Learning Lab Interventionist / After Care Coordinator provides academic, supervisory, and program support for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position coordinates K-8th grade DIBELS assessments, coordinates 1st-7th grade MAP Growth testing, provides reading intervention for K-8th grade students, supervises study halls, supports student testing needs, and oversees the daily operation of After Care programming. The role requires strong organization, clear communication, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and spiritual growth in a Christ-centered setting.
This position requires the applicant to demonstrate a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles, and to fully support the mission, vision, values, and statement of faith of Intermountain Christian School. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Previous experience working with students in an educational setting preferred. Experience with reading intervention, student assessment, academic support, or school program coordination is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate a passion for student discipleship, a commitment to Christian education, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a desire to contribute positively to the life of the school community.

Middle School Co-Coach
Intermountain Christian School is accepting applications for part-time openings for Middle School Co-Coaches. The following sports have openings:
Girls Basketball (January–February)
Girls Soccer (March–April)
Coed Cross Country (March–April)
Coed Golf (March–April)
The Middle School Co-Coach is responsible for leading, instructing, and mentoring student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment. Co-coaches will plan and implement practices, communicate effectively with students and parents, develop game strategies, and lead their teams during competitions while fostering a positive, respectful team culture that reflects the mission of Intermountain Christian School. ICS Mission: To serve as a Christ-centered learning community that equips and inspires students to thrive in God's world.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct engaging practice sessions that develop athletic skills while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
- Teach the fundamentals and advanced strategies of the sport while ensuring athletes understand the rules and expectations of competition.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Director to schedule practices, games, and tournaments.
- Communicate schedules, updates, and important information with athletes and parents through TeamSnap.
- Foster a positive team culture built on respect, integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Model Christ-like character by encouraging discipleship, prayer, spiritual growth, and servant leadership.
- Encourage student-athletes to pursue academic excellence, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and maintain positive attitudes both on and off the field or court.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and complete all coaching certifications required by the Athletic Director, league, and school administration.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, injuries, and team information, and provide updates to the Athletic Director as requested.
- Provide appropriate first aid when needed and communicate promptly with athletes and parents regarding injuries.
- Report all injuries requiring further medical attention in writing to the ICS Athletic Department as soon as possible following the incident.
- Follow all physician and ICS Athletic Department injury recovery protocols before allowing an athlete to return to participation.
- Maintain open communication with the Athletic Department, students, and parents regarding concerns related to practices, games, or team conduct.
- Develop positive systems of recognition and encouragement that celebrate outstanding attitude, effort, teamwork, leadership, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong Christian faith and a commitment to mentoring and discipling students.
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (preferred).
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school level (preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of the sport, including rules, strategies, and skill development.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential both athletically and personally.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, fellow coaches, parents, and students.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and Christ-centered demeanor in all interactions.
- Working knowledge of league policies and UHSAA rules and regulations.
