Key Leadership Priorities
Shape a Culture of Excellence: Set and uphold high standards for academics, faculty development, and student outcomes—elevating a strong program to Christ-honoring excellence.
Advance a Strategic Vision: Clarify and champion a compelling long-term vision, articulate ICS’s unique distinctives, and lead sustainable growth in enrollment, programming, and reputation.
Lead Confidently with a Coaching Mindset: Build trust and unity across faculty, parents, students, and partner churches through clear communication, collaboration, and empowering leadership.
Demonstrate Operational & Financial Acumen: Provide strong organizational oversight, data-informed decision-making, resource development, and financial leadership for long-term health.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the ICS School Board, the Head of School will:
- Directly supervise the Dean of Elementary School, Dean of Middle & High School, Athletic Director, and Operations Team; indirectly supervise all employees.
- Lead academic, spiritual, and cultural direction in alignment with ICS’s mission and values.
- Oversee curriculum, instruction, and faculty development to ensure excellence and robust integration of faith and learning.
- Recruit, develop, and hold faculty and staff to high professional and spiritual standards.
- Establish operational efficiency through systems of accountability and data-informed decision-making.
- Direct strategic growth in enrollment, financial sustainability, and advancement initiatives.
- Cultivate donor relationships and strengthen partnerships with local churches and Christian organizations.
- Serve as a visible, approachable presence with students, parents, and community stakeholders, including the Spiritual Accountability Partnership (SAP) of church leaders.

We are seeking candidates who have created excellence in a school, non-profit, or Christian ministry, through exceptional communication and community engagement skills.
